The one benefit of working with your own Personal Trainer is that all the preparation falls into their lap except for what equipment is needed for the training session to go as well as possible. Here at MYo Lab our Personal Trainers handle 100% of the programming to best suit your needs, experience level, and goals you are trying to achieve. There are 3 stages to the 8-week journey while working with our trainers here at MYo Lab: Initial Consultation, Follow Ups/Regular Sessions; and a Progress Exam.

During the Initial Consultation and Progress Exam it’s important you wear something you are comfortable in. Typically, our members dress in active wear or a t-shirt and shorts. In the consultation, our trainings take you through a movement screening assessment so they can give you a visual on your movement pattern dysfunction to best tailor your training sessions. While it is not required to dress in the aforementioned attire, it is recommended so they can best assess you.

Throughout a follow-up session, this is where you actually start to perform the exercise you have always wanted. For attire, it is best you wear some form of active wear. Typically, our members wear a t-shirt and gym shorts with running or gym shoes. Throughout the gym we have water fountains, so ideally bringing a refillable water bottle is a great idea to get you through the training session. Here at MYo Lab, we offer complimentary showers and bathrooms, which include shampoo, soap, and conditioner. If you are training before work or before an event, it’s always acceptable to bring along a change of clothes so you can hit the ground running after getting a sweat on.

MYo Lab offers a variety of gym equipment to best suit the needs of anyone who comes through our doors. From beginner level to more experienced, we have got your back. Our treadmills, exercise bikes, and TheraBand’s are used for warm-ups. We have free weight dumbbells ranging from 3 lbs to 70 lbs and kettlebells up to 30 lbs. For experienced or those looking to become experienced gym goers, we have 3 squat racks, a deadlift platform, and a bench press rack. Our cable machine, is our most versatile piece of gym equipment. With the use of our attachments, our trainers are capable of tailoring a workout to your needs with the cable machine. If there is a piece of gym equipment you need, speak to our trainers. They are experienced enough to modify your training session to provide you with the optimal experience.

The best way to explain what you need for a personal training session is to come prepared to sweat, feel motivated, move, and feel rejuvenated about your day moving forward. Our trainers handle all of the programming necessary for you to meet your goals. So hold them accountable for your goals, and they will hold you accountable for your training session.
