You should absolutely eat before a workout! This can come down to personal preference as some individuals may workout first thing in the morning. In turn making it more difficult to fit a meal in before. A recommendation to those people would be to have something small to better set them up for a successful workout. Although, there is a very common misconception within the fitness world that working out fasted is better because more fat can be burned. Ultimately research has proven this to be false. To get the most out of a workout, eating beforehand provides energy to sustain energy during the workout.

It is even recommended that halfway through an intra workout i.e., a quick digesting carb should be consumed to replenish depleted energy stores. Not eating before can inhibit the ability to get the most out of the workout. Therefore, it is best practice to try and consume something at least 30 minutes prior. Leading to the most success in the end.
