Have you been wondering what the member POV for an initial assessment is at MYo Lab? Here is a quick run-down of what to expect!

Prior To Arriving

Intake Forms: Whether you call into the clinic to book your appointment or book online you will get an intake form to your email you provided. This intake form will allow you to describe what exactly you are experiencing and give a detailed health history! This will tremendously speed up the process prior to arriving for your first appointment!

Arrival At The Clinic

Entering The Clinic: You will be greeted by our lovely Member Services team who will let the Practitioner know you are here and finish any further forms needed!

History Review: Yay! You’ve made it into the clinic and met your amazing Practitioner. Whether you are seeing Chiropractor, Physiotherapist, Massage Therapist, or Personal Trainer you will be asked a detailed history on the current problem you are experiencing and any goals you have with care!

Kinotek: Once your Practitioner gets a full picture of your problem/dysfunction and goals they will then take you out to the gym to do a movement assessment (excluding massages) using Kinotek. This is a video assessment software to see how the body is moving. Using this video assessment software, it will remove the Practitioners biases as well as yours to truly see how the body is moving. This will play a key role in getting to the root problem/dysfunction of what you are currently experiencing!

Physical Assessment: A physical assessment is different for every profession. For Chiropractic and Physiotherapy this will include an orthopaedic exam as well as muscle palpation. For Massage Therapy this includes muscle palpation for areas that may be compensating and causing you pain or tension!

Expert Opinion From Your Practitioner: Before any treatment is provided the Practitioner will provide you with their expert opinion on what the root cause of the problem is! This will include an in-depth anatomy review as well as allow you time to ask any questions for further clarification of what is causing the symptoms/roadblocks within the body!

Care Options: Once a proper diagnosis is found and the root problem can be identified the Practitioner will create a specialized care plan to not only get you feeling better but ultimately moving better! If you are in for Personal Training, our Personal Trainers will identify the frequency of sessions to help you ultimately reach your goals!
